“Whether you like it or not, I do!”

Not five minutes after I had posted the preceding snippet (with reference to something of a life changing event – well, at my age it may be called that – involving substantial monies if one would DCF the annual income over, say, another five years at 4% interest), a close friend, who has a loft overlooking Union Square (NYC), called me and cried out before I could say Hello and how are you: “Ding, what have you done?” And I told her, literally: “Whether you like it or not, I do!” And looking at this sentence in print I’m thoroughly pleased at how beautiful a sentence of less than ten words of the most prosaic kind can be. In fact, I like it so much that I’ve decided to copy it into the title section of this post.
